Tyler Moniz Project
Bainbridge Youth Services proudly aquired the Tyler Moniz Project in 2024. This initiative involves installing vibrant blue “conversation benches” in public spaces, serving as physical reminders to encourage open dialogue and support for mental well-being. The project was founded in memory of Tyler Moniz, a Bainbridge High School student who tragically died by suicide in 2016. Each year, BYS commits to installing a new bench every April, Tyler’s birth month, in locations such as local parks and schools. These benches symbolize the community’s commitment to fostering connection and supporting youth mental health.
Community members and businesses interested in supporting the Tyler Moniz Project can contribute by sponsoring a bench. Each sponsorship includes the opportunity to add a personalized dedication, making it a meaningful tribute or message of encouragement.
