This fall, BYS is offering new peer support groups for parents of all school-age children.
WHY A PEER SUPPORT GROUP?
Parent Peer Support groups are designed to bring parents of children at similar ages and developmental stages together to discuss the challenging and rewarding work of parenting.
WHO ARE THEY FOR?
BYS Parent Peer Support Groups are inclusive of parents of all children grades K-12. These groups will be divided according to the grades of the children.
WHAT WILL PARENTS GET OUT OF IT?
This program will focus on parent well-being, creating connections, developing an understanding of personal parenting values, giving access to supportive resources, and offering parenting techniques and strategies.
DETAILS:
The fall session is 8 weeks, beginning the week of September 18, running through the week of November 6. All groups will be facilitated by a BYS licensed therapist and will meet at the BYS office once a week, from 6:30pm-8pm.
Please note: Groups are capped at a certain number of participants in an effort to ensure the best possible experience for everyone involved. Therefor, parents with children who fall into multiple age ranges must choose only one group to participate in. Thank you!
We invite you to register today for a Parent Peer Support Group that best fits your child’s development:
