Tyler Moniz Project
In 2024, Bainbridge Youth Services was honored to become the steward of the Tyler Moniz Project, a community initiative dedicated to fostering connection, compassion, and conversations that support mental well-being.
The project features vibrant blue Conversation Benches placed in parks, schools, and other public spaces throughout our community. Each bench serves as a welcoming reminder that no one has to face life’s challenges alone and that meaningful conversations can make a difference.
The project was established in memory of Tyler Moniz, a Bainbridge High School student whose life continues to inspire a community-wide commitment to supporting youth mental health, reducing stigma, and encouraging people to reach out to one another.
Each April, in honor of Tyler’s birthday, Bainbridge Youth Services installs a new Conversation Bench, expanding spaces where community members can pause, connect, listen, and support one another.
Community members, families, and businesses can help grow this meaningful initiative by sponsoring a Conversation Bench. Sponsors have the opportunity to include a personalized dedication, creating a lasting message of hope, remembrance, gratitude, or encouragement for generations to come.
