BYS Youth Advisory Board

The BYS Youth Advisory Board is a group of 10–12 motivated students in grades 9–12 who want to be part of something meaningful.

What We Do

As a Youth Advisory Board member, you’ll:

  • Learn about local resources from guest speakers and community experts
  • Engage in open and honest conversations about youth mental health
  • Practice mindfulness and build your own personal resilience
  • Participate in outreach and awareness activities that make a real impact
  • Receive training to become a peer advocate and mental health ambassador

What We Expect

  • A commitment from September through June (one school-year term)
  • Attendance at weekly meetings at the BYS Office
  • A minimum 75% attendance rate
