Welcome to the BYS Jobs Board! The BYS Jobs Board has been a community service since 1982, connecting youth with local, short-term work opportunities. Potential employers contact BYS with a short job description including necessary tasks, location and pay rate and we pass on the information directly to young people by email. Interested students respond directly to the potential employer and the two determine if it is a mutual fit. See more info & disclaimer below.
For youth: to receive periodic emails about job opportunities around the community and/or volunteer opportunities in exchange for community service hours, please subscribe by entering your name and email below. Please note the following requirements to subscribe to the BYS Jobs Board:
- must be a local youth ages 13-21, or
- a parent/guardian looking for jobs for a youth ages 13-21, or
- an individual who works with youth (teachers, coaches, etc) ages 13-21
For potential employers: to post a job, please complete the form below. Please note that jobs are not posted outside of our business hours (9am-5pm, Mon-Fri). Also note that jobs go out by email and you may receive inquiries from multiple youth about a job.
Some things to consider when posting a job:
- Jobs Board recipients are mostly high school-aged youth. They are in school 8:45am-3:15pm, September through mid-June.
- For some youth, this is their first work experience
- Minimum wage in Washington state as of January 1, 2023 is $15.74/hour
Bainbridge Youth Services acts as a free-of-charge job posting service only and makes no recommendations regarding potential employers or youth employees.
BYS is not responsible for safety, wages, working conditions, or any other aspect of this private employment.
