DESCRIPTION:Make it a day ON! Join us on Monday\, January 20\, to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.’s life and legacy with a day of service to the community. Join the Park District and our incredible partners from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Blakely Harbor Park.\n\n\nConservation projects for all ages are planned\, including planting native wildflowers\, mulching young plants\, and removing invasive species like ivy\, spurge laurel\, and blackberry. SUMMARY:Young People’s March for Peace and Kindness
DESCRIPTION:An opportunity to practice service in the spirit of MLK Day. On Monday\, January 20th\, youth of all ages\, their families\, and community members\, are invited to gather for letter writing between 10:30-11:15 at the Bainbridge Public Library. At 11:15\, we will march together to the Winslow post office to mail our letters. Bring signs\, banners\, friends\, and your own stamps. Addresses and inspiration provided.
